1. Information We Collect

When you register an account with Safe Kitchen, we collect your business name, account email address, kitchen equipment profiles, and daily operational check records (temperature logs, cleaning task sign-offs, and 4-weekly reviews).

2. How Your Data Is Used

Your information is used exclusively to operate your kitchen compliance dashboard, compile legally required food safety audits (SFBB / HACCP), and send critical reminder notifications (such as fridge temperature limit alerts).

If you arrive at Safe Kitchen by clicking one of our online adverts, the ad click identifier and campaign tags from that link are stored with your new account. When you start a free trial or first subscribe, we share that click identifier and the date and value of the event with the advertising platform the click came from (Google or Meta), on the basis of our legitimate interest in measuring which of our adverts work. We never share your kitchen records, and nothing is shared if you did not arrive from an advert.

3. Bluetooth & Device Permissions

The mobile app requests Bluetooth permissions strictly to communicate with wireless food thermometer probes during temperature checks. We never access location tracking or personal device data.

4. Account Deletion & Rights

Under UK GDPR and store guidelines, you have the right to erase your account and associated records at any time directly in the app settings under Settings → Delete Account & Data, or by submitting a request on our Account Deletion Page.

5. Sales Visits & Business Contacts

Our field sales team contacts food businesses using the public Food Standards Agency hygiene rating data (Open Government Licence). During a visit a representative may record the name, role, phone number and email of the person they spoke to, visit notes and photos of the premises frontage, on the basis of our legitimate interest in offering Safe Kitchen to food businesses. These details are used only to follow up about Safe Kitchen; we send marketing emails only to people who agreed to receive them. If a business is not interested we stop contacting it and delete the contact details after 12 months, or sooner on request to support@safekitchenapp.co.uk. An account set up with a representative is linked to them so they can be credited for the sale; this gives them no access to your kitchen records.
